Docu-Memento is a screening event born in 2017 when filmmakers gathered with the aim of expanding the possibilities of documentaries beyond television and movies. Aiming to create a space where people can “experience the appeal of documentaries, filmmakers, actors, and viewers spend a unique time together in the same space. In collaboration with the local community of Shinagawa-juku, a former post town located along the old Tokaido road, screens are set up in izakayas, temples, soba restaurants, and cafes to show unreleased works and documentaries in production, allowing filmmakers, actors, and audiences to talk on an equal footing. ten-ten has been sponsoring and managing this event since its founding, cooperating in exchange and revitalization within and outside the industry.
